When I woke up that morning, it didn’t occur to me that I’ll be on a plane to Hong Kong by night time. My dad had a stroke and we needed to be there. We knew little of what his condition was. Mom decided to tag me along with her. I also felt the need to as my mom is not at her best at times like this. Apparently, Dad suffered an Intracerebral Haemmorrhage on the night he got back to HK from his vacay in MNL and had been at the hospital since. Almost 4 weeks later, Dad is still home confined, has difficulty expressing what he wants to say, difficulty walking, is always tired and sleepy, and still has a blood clot inside his head. I am still here in HK, but I’m so thankful that he is still with us. Neuro said he is so lucky. We are lucky. I love you Daddy.
